Look what daddy found on our back porch! We actually find a lot of them out where we live and my baby and I think they're so cool. Mommy isn't so sure. After 'examining' them for a little bit, we let them go back in the woods to be with their other spider friends.

Big Girl Panties!
It's a family affair - this whole potty training thing. 'Elmo's Potty Time' seems to really have struck a cord with Amelia Tate and she has a renewed interest in the potty. Most days, she runs around naked and mommy prays she tells her in time but today mommy got her big girl panties and an elmo potty seat. Tate is so excited.....sort of. She's having fun playing with her new panties but doesn't really care about putting them on. Mommy got me 'Toy Story' undies and those are the ones she wanted to put on - all at the same time. I keep reminding mommy it's a marathon, not a sprint so off to the training track we all go.

Just like Emmylou
Today Tatie told mommy she wanted pigtails like Emmylou. Typically, Tate has a fit when mommy does her hair and even if she does manage to get a bow or ponytail in, Tate has it pulled out within seconds. Not today! They stayed in all morning, all day through school and even through nap. She wanted pigtails like Emmylou and she was so proud of them. I told mommy that Emmylou also wears bows so I went out and picked out matching bows for my baby sister. Doesn't she look cute?

It's raining, it's pouring!
Yes, still! And what do you do when it's raining all week long? I can't think of anything better than this.........

Trippism
Passing the time in the car in traffic, we like to play 'I spy'. Typical things are trees, tires, signs, dogs, etc. Tonight was a little different.
Mommy: I spy with my 2 little eyes, something black.
Tripp: Your bra.

Aggies Season 2010
The Aggie season started last weekend but because we were in Chicago, we missed the first game. So, this was our official first game of the season and we had a great time cheering the Aggies on to victory against Louisiana Tech. Gig 'Em Aggies!
The Bulldozer
After the big soccer game, we headed out to College Station for the Aggie game. Before the game, we had time to go to Mama's farm and check out the new pond she's digging. While there, I got to help out a little.
First Soccer Game
I've been asking mommy for over a year if I could pleeaaassseeee play soccer and finally, I'm old enough. We joined the NASA (North Austin Soccer Alliance) soccer league and had our first game today. I have 5 team mates - Paris, Charlie J, Charlie D, Owen and Sam - and our coaches Coach Wes and Coach Paul (aka daddy and Charlie's daddy) led us to victory. In reality, we don't keep score and all of us win, but I told everyone how we beat the 'pink team' and I scored 3 goals. It was super fun and I can't wait to play soccer every Saturday.

We did it!
As of tonight, we finally reached our 4000 ticket goal at Chuck E Cheese!!! If you don't know what I'm referring to, feel free to click here. Many people chipped in to help and for that, I'm (or should I say mommy is) eternally grateful. I think Mommy is thrilled she won't have to eat more Chuck E Cheese pizza than she has to or play the 'dine-dine' game over and over trying to get more and more tickets. Now that I have tickets in hand, time to claim the prize....right? Not exactly. The Chuck E Cheese we go to no longer carries my long awaited prize but faithful mommy got on the phone and started calling all area Chuck E Cheese locations, including San Antonio! Fortunately for her, the Round Rock location had one available so off we went - out in the rainstorm.
First Day of School
Today is the first day of school (4 days a week for me and 2 days a week for Tatie) - and the continuation of a massive rain storm we're having in Austin. Typically it takes us about 15 minutes to get to school and although we left in plenty of time (you know how mommy is with pictures), it took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to school due to the various road closures. I didn't really mind because I had on my firemen rainboots and my 'Cars' umbrella and Tate had her new ladybug umbrella. We finally made it - really late - and it was a fantastic first day.
Tate - you're the snack 'helper', not the snack 'eater'. The girl loves her snacks - and anyone else's that might get in the way.
Tripp and Miller - buddies in and out of CMO (Children's Morning Out)
Tate 'guarding' her babies against other almost 2 year olds that might want to play with them.

Birthday Celebration!
Eden and Tate are 6 weeks apart and although Eden has had her birthday already and Tate's is coming up, we thought we'd have a little birthday cake celebration while they were together. Dis someone say cake? No complaints here!
