Ronald McDonald House

You may remember that in lieu of presents at my birthday party, I asked my friends to bring books to donate to the Ronald McDonald House instead. Well, a month and a half later, we finally made it to 'Old McDonald's House'. I took the books to the nice lady in the office and told her: 'my friends brought lots of books for the sick children and for the children that don't have anything'. She was very happy to see all of the books and told me that they would make many children smile. I even got to sign my name in the donor book! Afterwards, I had fried shrimp at Pappadeaux and once we got home, mommy rewarded us with a little Thomas the Train and Barney on the computer (since we still haven't replaced our broken tv). It was a big day and it sure does feel good to help others.

Here I am with my box of books

At the Ronald McDonald House. Ms. Cara came with us too!

Ah....my baby and I sure love Barney and Thomas.

Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles

I love baths! I especially love bubble baths and want a big bubble bath every night. Mommy, Tatie and I decided to take a bath in the big tub together and of course we had to have lots and lots of bubbles. My baby seemed to like the bubble bath too and sure had a good time eating the bubbles. I can't wait until she's big enough to take a bath with me all of the time!
Check out my cool style
Mommy, I'm a scary bathtub dinosaur! Grrrrrrr........

Practice makes Perfect

Our neighborhood has an Easter Egg hunt each year and I got to go and take my favorite puppy basket from last year. I'm sure glad I was able to practice before the real Easter Bunny comes to our house in a couple of weeks! Although it was really cold, there were lots of kids and lots of eggs and a fun time had by all.

Happy Birthday, Grammy!

Today is my Grammy's birthday! Happy birthday, Grammy - we sure love you!

Rodeo Round 2

If you remember, mommy promised to take me on the carnival rides at the rodeo earlier in the week but the carnival was closed when we were there. True to her word, mommy did take me back and my daddy went too! We had such a good time and it was fun riding the rides that I was too small to ride last year.

My baby likes the carnival

Austin Rodeo

Today I went to the Austin Rodeo with Aunt Brenda, Victoria and Miss Connie and had so much fun. We checked out the pig races, petting zoo and tractors and mommy said since I had been so good, we would go ride rides at the carnival. Unfortunately, the rides didn't open until 4pm and we were there at 11:30am. Oops! I saw a man across the way and told mommy, 'there's the man! He can turn on the rides!'. I still don't know why she didn't think that was a good idea but she promised to take me later in the week. Remember mommy, I won't forget so you have to do what you say!
Tractors big and small - I love them all!

First sippy cup. She loves this!
First tutu. Ok, it's really Eden's but since I'm borrowing it, it's my first one!

Spring Break 2009

This past week was spring break and mommy and Miss Becca thought it might be fun to do something with us for a day. The original plan was to spend the day at Sea World in San Antonio but if you know mommy (and Miss Becca), things spun a bit out of control and they decided that it would be fun to drive to Port Aransas for 4 days and 3 nights for a mini 'vacation' with 2 three year olds and 2 six month olds and no daddies. Silly mommies! So, we packed the car and headed out of town - only after having to go back to the house because our mommies forgot their wine. mommy said something about priorities? Hmmm. Our 4 hour drive to Port Aransas turned into 6 hours, but who's keeping track?

Starting our trip off right. Lots of activities in the back for 3 year olds....
Let's see what happens when we open the beach tent in the car! We're only asleep because we were offered cold hard cash. Nightie night! We finally made it to the condo and we watched a little Dora the Explorer before heading off to bed.
Our first slumber party! Get some sleep because tomorrow is a big day at the beach. The next day.....
Dressed for the beach
Watch out beach, here we come!
Jumping the waves
One very happy boy
Meanwhile, back at the condo, the babies were having their own fun....Cozy friends
After the beach, we were very dirty and needed a big bubble bath
Emmylou getting sprayed with the shower hose
Are we the cutest things or what?
Cleaned up and ready to go to dinner - where we will not sit in our seat and will not behave. Our mommies are slow learners.
Day three.......
My baby is a beach baby
Waiting for the waves
Tatie's first trip to the beach
Tired beach babies
Mommy and Miss Becca thought it would be fun to take us on a dolphin tour....on a boat....with 4 kids in life jackets.....out numbered. Then they came to their senses and thought of a very fun alternate plan. Putt Putt Golf, anyone?
If I put the ball right next to the hole, is it still considered a hole in one?
Nice putt, Emmylou!
After a day of golfing, we got to go to the store to spend the dollar we 'earned' by sleeping in the car ride here. Of course, I want to spend my money on something soft and furry.
What does Emmylou want to buy?
She picked out a nice shot glass to take home. What does it say?
'Caution: Instant sex machine. Just add alcohol'. Ultimately we both decided on our dolphin claws.
Taking pictures at the faux sand castle
Hi mom!
On our way home, our mommies drove thru Sonic for dinner and took us home for the night. I'm not sure why they weren't up for taking us to another restaurant since I'm sure it's a pleasant experience for them.
Wrestle-mania
Miller putting the moves on my baby.
Watching more Elmo, Dora the Explorer and Wonder Pets before heading off to bed.
Going home.....
Today we're heading back to Austin. We had such a good time but we really miss our daddies! Here we are reading the candy machines to our mommies. Unfortunately, all of the signs on all of the candy machines we saw said 'I'm sorry. We're broken'. Bummer!
Tired! Our mommies didn't even have to pay us this time!
