Happy Halloween 2013!

Boo from our family to yours!

Mommy's helper

I love to cook with mommy but she sometimes gets in too much of a rush to really let me help.  Today, it was just the girls and we decided to make some Halloween cookies.  I rolled everything out perfectly and was a great sous

chef!  Mommy even said she's going to let me help more often.

Twin Day

This week is 'No Place for Hate' week at Tripp's school and each day is a different theme.  Today, it's TWIN DAY and of course, he and best buddy JP, had to be twins.  Not too many Aggies running around in a longhorn town, that's for sure, but these are the cutest 'twins' around!

Deer Feeder

We live on over an acre in a nature preserve with a ton of wildlife.  But......that's not good enough for daddy so we put together a deer feeder in the backyard.  We'll have more deer than we can count!!  Such a fun daddy.

The Hoot!

The Hoot is the big carnival at Tripp's school complete with games, rides, foods and just plain Halloween fun!  It's always a big turn out - whether you attend the school or not - and we decided to add a little flavor to our outfits for the occasion.  There's no place like the Hoot!

Speech

Our little Levi hasn't been using words or talking like other kids his age.  Think of Curious George the monkey and that's what he sounds like when trying to communicate.  It may also be why Curious George is his favorite show - he can probably understand what the monkey is saying!  Anyway, mommy has been taking him to Ms. Kari, a speech therapist, to help him use his words and not be so physical due to frustration.  He tries so hard to tell us what he wants but when we don't understand, he ends up hurting himself or others.  We sure love him and want the best for him so we're hoping that weekly speech therapy will do the trick.  Ms. Kari is very optimistic and says he'll be talking in no time and then we'll wonder if he'll ever be quiet. :)

Annual Riley Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Today we made it out to our favorite little pumpkin patch for our annual pictures.  It was a bit more challenging for all of us but we somehow made it through without too many tears.  Lexi wasn't thrilled but I explained to her that it's just something she'll have to get used to!  We can't wait for Halloween and pumpkin carving with daddy!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Each year, we take a trip to the pumpkin patch at Tarrytown Methodist with our school.  There are thousands of pumpkins and we have so much fun exploring them all.  We read a Halloween story, have a snack, go on a scavenger hunt and the best part is we get to pick our very own pumpkin to take home.

I'm too sexy for my.......

Bow head

Aunt Cindy has a cute store here in Austin and you can get just about ANYTHING monogrammed.  So, when mommy went in today, Aunt Cindy decided Lexi needed a new bow.  She was less than thrilled but mommy and Aunt Cindy sure had fun at her expense

Future fashion-ista

When I'm not running around naked or in a princess dress, I like to dress myself and am very opinionated about it.  Today I wore an outfit Grammy sent me for my birthday and of course had a little of my own style.  Don't you think the pink raincoat and dinosaur rain boots add a nice touch?  And...the shirt says it all.
