Garden Princess Party

Tate started 'Garden Princess Party' camp this week. Each day, they did ballet, tap, art, cheerleading, singing and a lot of other fun 'princess' activities. She was the youngest in the class - because mommy had to beg to let her in since she wasn't 3 yet - but she did great and met a lot of new friends and had a lot of fun! On Friday, the girls got to make lunch at Mangia Pizza and then perform a show for the parents. She was such a star and after, Mommy and Tate celebrated with a 'pink lady' snow cone.

THE Princess Bed

I got to pick out my bed when it was time for a 'big boy bed' and since Levi is now going to need all of the nursery furniture, Tate got to pick out her 'big girl bed'. She saw the bed months ago but it had to be ordered so it was a complete surprise for her. Can you say over the top princess? But, she loves it and mommy and daddy hope it will keep her in her bed!

I love the dentist!

I LOVE going to the dentist and I've been asking mommy all week about my appointment. If you ask me why I love my dentist so much (besides the fact that it's Ms. Angie and I love Ms. Angie), it's because I get to watch tv while in the dentist chair. Today was my favorite dentist visit because.....get ready.....I have 2 loose teeth! Wowzer! This is huge for me and every 5 seconds I tell mommy or anyone I see about my loose teeth.

Night Nurse

Tripp: Mommy, I know why you're so tired. It's because Levi keeps you up all night, right?

Mommy: Yes little guy.

Tripp: Well, tonight you can sleep because Levi can sleep in my room and I'll get up with him. When he's hungry, I'll just get him a bottle. Does that sound like a great idea?

I love him!

The Farm

No trip to College Station is complete without a trip to Mama's farm. We were big helpers and made sure all of the cows were well taken care of before we left.

It's Rodeo Time!

On our way back from Tomball, we joined daddy in College Station and went to the Bryan/College Station Rodeo. Last time we went, 2 cowboys got hurt riding bulls and an ambulance had to come take them out of the arena. I asked mommy how many cowboys might get hurt this time and she said hopefully none. I explained that it wasn't a rodeo unless cowboys got hurt. Hey - I'm 5. I don't understand the sport all that well yet. We had a fun time and I participated in the calf scramble again this year. I didn't catch the calf but one of these days I will! (see me? I'm in the middle right in a white shirt, khaki shorts and tennis shoes)

Aunt Bunny's

When we're in Tomball, we love staying with Aunt Bunny because....well, she's just fun. And we love seeing our cousins and the puppies. Willa and Socrates are mastifs and huge but Tate calls them the puppies and loves on them like they're teacup poodles.

On the road again........

Daddy is traveling this week so we decided to go see our cousins in Tomball for a couple of days. Of course, no trip to Tomball would be complete without a visit to Gigi and Papa's lumber yard. We explored and worked on projects for hours while Levi participated in the traditional 'nail scale weighing' ceremony. Sorry buddy. We all had to go through it.

2 months!

It's official - Levi is a chunky monkey! Not only did mommy have to buy him size 2 diapers already but at his 2 month visit, he weighed in at 12 lbs 12 0z and 23 inches long. That is 6 lbs in 2 months! He is 80th percentile for weight and 75th for height. The boy is not starving....that's for sure. Mommy usually writes a letter to us each month but I think I will do it this time.

Dear baby brother -
I love you so much! You are so much fun to feed and play with but I don't like changing your diapers. You're smelly so I'll let mommy handle that part. You smile at me now so I know you love me and I can't wait until you're big enough to play hide and seek or chase. I think I love on you a little too much because anytime we come around you, we're holding your head and kissing all over you. Or waking you up as soon as mommy gets you to sleep. You don't like it. In fact, you're starting to get squirmy when you hear our voices. Uh oh. Well, I'm here to tell you to get used to it because you're our baby and we love you so much. Tate and I tell you all of the time that you're 'precious' or 'so so cute'. We love our baby brother and we're so glad you're ours!
Love,
Tripp Tripp aka Bubba

The Gingerbread Man

I've been in acting camp all week at the Paramount Theater downtown. I love it! During the week we acted out different fairy tales and on Friday, we had a private performance for our friends and family....in the theater, on the stage! Mommy and daddy were so surprised to find out that the story we performed for them was 'The Gingerbread Man' and I was the Gingerbread man! I was great, if you ask me and even improvised a little on stage. For example, when the gingerbread man encountered the bunny on the trail, instead of saying, 'Run Run as fast as your can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!', he said 'Hop Hop as fast as your can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!'. And, when he encountered the chicken, he said 'Fly, Fly as fast as your can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!'. Pretty clever! Maybe you'll see me on the big screen one day.
See me on the ground? The old woman is 'baking' me.
I've jumped out of the oven!
The cat is trying to eat me! But, you know how the story goes.

Sleeping Princess

A rare glimpse of Tate actually sleeping......in her bed. Does it matter that she was up most of the night and she's in princess gear, complete with pearls? Nah.

Kid's Cook

I love to help mom cook and so today, we went to Kid's Cook while Bubba was in camp. We made monkey bread and nutella crepes. Yum!

Monday, July 4, 2011

We dropped Bubba off at acting camp this morning and then mommy, daddy and Levi and I went to breakfast. We went to Austin Java and I ordered chocolate pancakes!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!! We had a great holiday celebrating with friends and enjoying a good old fashioned cook-out. We rented a big bounce house - water slide which kept us entertained for hours and per mommy's grand plan, wore us out! This year, Austin had a ban on fireworks but even without fireworks, it was a great day.

Favorite Camp

Mommy has me in a number of different camps this summer. I've been in a museum camp, an acting camp, a cooking camp, a tennis camp......you name it. While driving home today, mommy asked which camp has been my favorite so far. My answer? The father/son camping trip. I think I just melted my daddy's heart forever.
