VBS: Day 2

Today we learned about Joseph's special ability, to interpret dreams. This special ability was given to him by God and Joseph was able to help the Pharoah interpret an important dream about an upcoming famine in Egypt so that they could store up food and be ready for it.
We also talked about our own special abilities, the gifts that God has given to each of us to share with the world. We've been traveling to the Marketplace each day where we get to spend our "money" on different crafts and activities. One of the activities is the Linen Shop and we have been making fleece blankets to donate to the Linus Connection here in Austin. The Linus Connection provides blankets to children with terminal illnesses so that they feel the warmth and love of God's people surrounding them. Our Bible Point today was: God gives us special abilities and our memory verse was: "God has given us different gifts..." Romans 12:6.

(By the way, mommy spent hours helping make the trees you see in the picture above. She must sure love me.)
