Alexa Jane Riley

We are thrilled to announce the birth of our newest addition, Alexa Jane Riley aka Lexi.  She arrived at 6:12am and was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long.  She is precious and I'm thrilled about my new baby sister!!  Mommy went into labor at around 2am but didn't want to 'inconvenience' anyone by calling them too early to come watch the 3 of us.  So she thought she'd "hang out" until around 5am or 6am before calling Ms. Connie.  Ha!  Baby Lexi had other plans.  Mommy's contractions were so bad around 4am that she finally called the dr. and Ms. Connie so they could head to the hospital.  By the time they got there, contractions were 2 - 3 minutes apart and mommy was having what we'll just say was a really hard time.  Once they checked her in and were prepping her for surgery, they realized that she was 9cm and it was show time.  She was sent to ER in her STREET CLOTHES and went into immediate surgery.  Poor Lexi was ready to make her appearance and tried to go the 'au natural' way and had bruises on her precious face from being pulled back out.  But, she is healthy and happy and we welcome her into our family with open arms and open hearts.
