Girl's Day Out
Daddy LOVES his girls. So much so, he sent us off to have a girl's day out. I squealed with joy because I love getting my nails done! I got to go to a fancy place with mommy and they even served me orange juice while I was being pampered. Mommy was especially excited about her 'orange juice' as well. Silly mommy - she kept calling it mommy juice!

Which Came First - Mama or Dada?
Both mommy and daddy have been making a big push to get Levi to say their name first. He's been babbling all along and sometimes says what may sound like mama or what may sound like dada, but nothing definite. So, do you know which came first? buh-buh. Yep! Bubba is so proud......and to be fair, he's saying 'dada' an awful lot. Mommy feels like chopped liver.

Father Daugter Dance
As you probably already know, I am a ballerina princess. My ballet school held a father-daughter dance this evening and daddy I went together on a special date. I picked out my dress and got all fixed up for my dance and daddy even bought me a corsage for the event (the big girls made them as a fundraiser for the daddies to buy)! It was so special just being with my daddy and I can't wait until the next time. Daddy, thank you for taking me and for loving me sooooo much.
Introducing the Marlins
Tripp is in A6 little league this year and his team is the Marlins. It's definitely a family affair this year because Daddy is one of the coaches and mommy (aka Realtor) is the sponsor of the team. This year I have 4 little girlfriends to play with and at the end of each game, I think we're dirtier than the boys that are actually on the field playing baseball. Take me out to the ball game any day of the week!
Clap, clap, clap!
Levi started clapping today! We clap when we're eating. We clap when we're getting our diaper changed. We clap when we're in the bath. Clapping is such a fun new trick and Levi-Love loves to show it off.

Watch out world, here he comes
Uh oh. Levi is crawling! At first it was just a rocking back and forth but he has now made some definite progress and although it takes him some time, he can get to what he wants. No more easy living for mommy. She can't leave him in one spot now and be confident he'll be there when she turns around. Daddy finally lowered the crib because Levi is trying to escape and explore at every opportunity - including nap time. He's growing and getting bigger every day. He's so much fun and I love my baby brother.

The Dentist
Today was my first trip to the dentist. Was I scared? No. Was I nervous? No. Why? Well for a couple of reasons. First of all, my big brother told me all about it on the way to our appointment and told me he'd be right next to me. Secondly, we have the best dentist ever and she takes good care of us and our teeth. And finally, there is TV IN THE ROOM WHILE WE GET OUR TEETH CLEANED!! Can we come back tomorrow?
Sleep Over
Tonight was a special night because we had dual sleep overs! Tripp got to spend the night with JP and I got to spend the night with Emmylou and Miller. I don't know what happened with the boys because there is no photographic evidence, but I was an angel. See, mom? Ms. Becca had us all under control!

Tripp's Fire Station Birthday Party
De ja vu? Yep - since the dance party over the shark tank wasn't an option this year, Tripp decided to have his party at the fire station and County Line like he did 2 years ago. Easy enough for mommy to plan! We had a big group because of his kindergarten class and friends but everyone had a great time learning about fire safety, touring the fire station and of course, spraying the fire hose. I had so much fun that I got into line a second time for another turn. Little sisters can get away with things like that. Happy Birthday to my Bubba!
Tripp is 6
My baby is 6. Really? I look at you every day and see the little boy you've become. I know people alway say 'time flies' but it's flying a little too quickly and I'm ready for it to stop. You are my precious, precious angel. Even at 6, you have such a maturity about you and are always so eager to please. You're my big helper - especially with Levi - and although I may not acknowledge it at times, it never goes un-noticed. You and Tate have a special relationship, too. Yes you aggravate each other but boy are you the protective big brother and is she lucky to have you! When y'all are sweet together, it's the best thing ever. You'll play princesses with her or build forts together. You'll cuddle up on the couch and watch the ipad together. Truth be told, you'd be lost without each other and I would be lost with out you, too. I love watching you grow each day but at the same time I wish for time to slow down just a little bit more so I can selfishly savor each moment with you a little more than I already do. Happy birthday to my little love.
Love, Mommy.

Valentine's Day
This year, mommy was in Orlando for a work conference and couldn't be with us for Valentine's Day. She was so sad to miss it but she wanted to make sure we all knew how much she loved us! As a surprise, she sent us a dozen Tiff's Treats cookies (for those of you that don't know, these are freshly baked and DELIVERED hot here in Austin. Yum!), chocolate covered strawberries, individual milks for each of us and a pint of vanilla ice cream - because we are ice cream fiends. All of our favorites - all together!!
Mommy made it home from Orlando the next day only to find our "favorites" still sitting in the Tiff's Treats bag on the kitchen counter. The problem? Daddy didn't look in in and didn't realize there were milks (which went bad), strawberries that once had chocolate on them (but didn't now because it melted off) and a 1/2 gallon of melted vanilla ice cream all over the bag and counter top. When daddy realized what had happened, in perfect daddy fashion he fixed it. He promptly grabbed the milks and strawberries and threw them in the fridge and scooped up the ice cream and threw it in the freezer. See? All fixed.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Levi is 9 months!
Sweet, smiling boy -
Oh how I love you and oh how you're feisty now that you're 9 months old. You've been such a calm, laid back little dude but all of a sudden, you have a spunk to you and let yourself be heard. You will throw a fit and throw your body backwards if you don't like what you're eating, you'll throw another little fit if you are laid down to get a diaper changed or get dressed and you now really hate your car seat. Basically if things are going your way, you're cool with it all. If not, watch out!! But, we'll keep you. You're on all fours and ready to crawl. Once you do, I'm in trouble because you'll be into everything. I love your curious nature and love how you watch your brother and sister. They adore you and you them. You're still a little peanut measuring 29 inches (75th percent) and weighing in at 19 lbs (25th percent) but I plan to fatten you up. You're starting with finger foods and love puffs and scrambled eggs. We try to get Tate to eat an egg because you do but she'll have no part of it. At least we tried! By our next update, you'll probably be crawling, pulling up and maybe even walking. Oh please no.
We sure love you and you make us all smile so much each day. I can't wait to see how you continue to grow and mature.....oh wait, yes I can. The days are flying by way too fast. I sure love you!

Mommy's Stay-cation
Since Levi has decided he no longer needs/wants mommy as a food source, mommy has a new found freedom. She also needed a break since daddy was out of town again all week for business. Our sweet daddy sent her to a local hotel...with a king bed...and no little people. Mommy sure loves us but she was in bliss! She told us she took a very hot, long shower and read her magazine and was in bed asleep by 8pm. The next day, we showed up around noon to take her to lunch and when she opened the door, we were amazed at what we saw. Mommy was STILL in her pjs and the room was pitch black because she had been in bed. Not sleeping but enjoying her last few hours of silence and relaxation. We were glad to have mommy back and told her that she couldn't leave us for a quiet hotel anymore.

100 Days!
Today is 100 days in Kindergarten! This is a HUGE deal and Bubba's school celebrates it with style. Also, each kindergartener had to bring 100 of something and count them out themselves. We've been anxiously awaiting 100 days and we're all (it's a family effort, as you can imagine) so excited it's here. Bubba took 100 rubber bands and 100 game chips to school as his contribution.
Good bye, boobies.
Just shy of 9 months, Levi has decided he no longer has use for mommy as a food source. I think it might be a little bittersweet for mommy but honestly, I don't hear her complaining.
