We think April Fool's jokes are funny and mommy is constantly trying to remind us that it isn't considered an April Fool's joke unless it's April Fool's Day! So, since today is April Fools, we decided to get daddy.....and boy did we get him good!!!
Mommy manipulated an email from Mrs. Olson about Tripp and printed it out. Tripp loves Mrs. Olson and is usually a golden boy who follows all of the rules and rarely gets a card change. Well, this 'new' letter stated that recently Tripp had not only card changes on 3 separate occasions but also a trip to the principal's office in a span of 2 days. It was well written, if I do say so myself. So well in fact, that when mommy read it to Tripp, he backed up and didn't want to do the joke anymore because he was afraid he'd really get in trouble. After a little convincing, Tripp took the letter and put it on daddy's sink while he was in the shower and jumped in the bed to watch something with me on the ipad. Eventually, daddy saw the letter and according to mommy, the color drained from his face. He was all of a sudden grumpy and not happy at all to the point that when he decided to discuss the letter with Tripp and went in the other room, mommy was right on his heels. Daddy said, "Tripp, we need to discuss this letter" and to that Tripp said, "April Fools!". Daddy replied, "Son, this is no April Fool's Joke" and so fortunately mommy was there to jump in and explain that Yes, it was an April Fool's joke and the joke was on him. It took daddy a few minutes but then slowly the smile emerged. He wasn't sure what to say so he just walked into the bathroom laughing. We got him good!
