Annie is a friend from school and her grandmother is an author. Awhile back, she wrote a book about the Oriental Garden at Zilker Botanical Park. It was built by a Japanese man named Isamu Taniguchi in 1969 as a way to say thank you to the city and to UT for all they had provided for his family over the years. (Well said, Becca). She came to each of our classrooms and read the story to us and signed a book for us to take home. This weekend, we thought it would be fun to search for Mother Tree and here are some pictures of our adventure.
