Easter Eggs

Emmylou and Miller came over today to dye Easter eggs and it was a messy, fun adventure. Instead of just traditional Easter egg dye, we decided to try the 'tie dyed' eggs. I think mommy and Miss Becca appreciated the extra steps required because it kept us focused longer than normal.
Tate had more dye on her mouth and fingers than on her eggs

School Easter Party

Our Easter party and Easter Egg hunt is today at school. I wanted to bring mac n cheese to share with my friends and mommy and I made it together. We brought our Easter baskets for the big hunt and our parents came to help us celebrate. It was a fun day and I'm so excited it's Easter time!
Waiting patiently for the hunt to begin
....and, we're off!
Before our bruch, we sang a special song prepared for our parents. They were so surprised!

Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday and the most exciting thing happened at chuch today! We all were given palm branches and lined up in the hallway when Jesus walked by. We yelled 'Hosanna, Hosanna' and waved our branches as he passed us. He even smiled and waved at me. It was a special day and once I continue to talk about.

Happy Birthday, Grammy!

Happy Birthday, Grammy! We love you SO SO much and hope you have a wonderful birthday. We'll see you soon!

Glorified Pancakes

I love to cook with mommy. Any chance I get, I'm in the kitchen trying to help with something - whether stirring or tasting. Every Saturday morning, we make breakfast and today, we decided to make vanilla crepes from scratch. Mmm, Mmm, good! We filled them with fun things like strawberries and cherries but my favorite was the whipped cream. Mommy thought they were good but a lot of effort. Next time, I think she's just going to put extra water in pancake batter and pass them off as crepes.

Duck

We went to my friend Patrick's house to play and he has duck that sings and dances. My baby loved it and carried it around the house for most of the playdate. Patrick is so sweet and said my baby could bring it home and play with it for a couple of days and she was definitely fine with that idea. Before she goes to bed, she puts her duck 'night night' in the baby crib and the first thing she says in the morning (still in the crib) is 'duck'. It's her new favorite - this week anyway - and here are some pictures of my baby and her new friend.

Mommy's Award

Mommy had her Keller Williams Awards Ceremony today and was #29 out of close to 350 agents in her office for all of 2009. Personally, I don't think she would have done as well if it weren't for me and baby Tate as her Realtors in training but we're proud of her and I'm displaying her trophy proudly on my bedroom dresser next to my little airplane.

Run Tate Run!

My baby doesn't know how to walk. She knows how to run. Everywhere. All of the time. WEARING MOMMY OUT! She is also into everything and has more scrapes and bruises than a little boy. In fact, she has the makings of a tomboy and can eat more sandbox sand and drink more gross old swimming pool rain water than any other boys we know.

But she's cute so I think we'll keep her.

Spring Break 2010

I've been asking to see my cousins for some time now and since daddy is traveling, mommy loaded us in the car for a quick spring break trip to Houston. Our first stop was at Aunt Judy & Uncle Al's house for the evening. They have the best toys from when mommy & her cousins were little and we pulled out every single one all over the house in record time. The next morning, my fun 2nd cousins came over to play and for brunch. Afterwards, we headed out to Tomball to see more family.

First stop? The new 'ambulance place'! Aunt Bunny is a commissioner in Tomball and set up our own private tour.
In the driver's seat turning on lights and very loud sirens
Checking out the back of the ambulance
Thank you Aunt Bunny!

No trip to Tomball is complete without a trip to the lumber yard. It's always my favorite but it's proving to be a favorite of Tate's as well. And of course, we love seeing our Gigi and Papa!
All a boy needs: a board, some sticks, a hammer and nails
This is a mess waiting to happen
My bucket = my purse
Nothing like a little lumberyard shopping

Austin Rodeo 2010

Spring break started today so mommy thought it might be fun for the 3 of us to go to the Austin Rodeo for a little bit this morning. We had the best time but I really was only interested in riding on the tractors. In fact, we ran into Gaby at the rodeo and joined them for lunch but afterwards we had to go our separate ways because they wanted to ride rides and I had no interest unless it included tractors. I LOVE TRACTORS and it's a good thing I can't read yet because I didn't notice any of the 'no climbing on the tractors' signs. Ah, being 4 is bliss.
Mama would be proud
Or course, I HAD to have a dino 'tattoo'

Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival

Austin is a great place for some many reasons but Zilker Park has to be one of the top 10. Not only is it home to Barton Springs and my favorite train ride ever, but it is also home to concerts and festivals. This weekend was the Zilker Park Kite Festival and we decided to make it a family event and enjoy the time together.
Kite flying with daddy
My baby had her eye on more than just kites. Note - this is not even our bag of chips!
Cruisin' around the festival without a care in the world
Playing football with daddy and brother
....and after much needed sno cones and naps, we did a little cruisin' back at the house. (Yes, my baby drives the motorcycle around by herself. She's so big!)

Beautiful Day for a Picnic

The weather is finally starting to turn pretty here in Austin and we took full advantage this weekend! Daddy has been traveling so today, we thought it would be fun to have a family picnic at the duck pond. We haven't been since Father's Day last year and it was time for another visit. We picked up sandwiches from yummy Thunderclouds and with extra stale bread in hand for the ducks, we headed out to the park.

Sandbox Fun

....and after our picnic and naps, it was still beautiful so we enjoyed some outside time, which included our favorite sandbox.
