Gig 'Em Aggies!

We went to the opening game of the season today and watched our Aggies beat the Rice Owls.  It was baby Lexi's first game, too, and I think the cheering and excitement was a bit overwhelming for her.  She had plenty of people willing to hold and love on her, though.  JP went with us and we had the best time together.

Sweet Temptation

I went to get my nails done with mommy today and I love picking out different colors for my toes and feet.  The fun thing I've recently learned is that the nail polishes have fun names so I had narrowed down my choices and then had mommy tell me the names.  I chose a beautiful blue for my toes, "Blue Rhapsody", and a fun spunky pink for my fingers.  When I asked mommy the name, I literally jumped and quickly chose another color.  "Sweet Temptation" was the name and I told mommy that I didn't like temptation.

A new first!

Lexi Jane slept 8 hours last night!  It could be because she was throwing a fit for about an hour and wore herself out, but we'll take it.

First day of 2nd Grade

Today is Tripp's first day of second grade and he is beyond excited because he has his favorite teacher E.V.E.R!  He promised to study hard since he has Mr. Gay and in a few weeks, he'll start switching classes for math and language arts.  He's a very good student, although he likes to give mommy grief from time to time, and really enjoys math over reading.  His reading is getting better every day and we enjoy listening to him read us stories.  He's such a good big brother.

Meet the Teacher

Today was my 'Meet the Teacher' day.  I'll be going 5 days a week and am in the green room with Mrs. Menke and Mrs. Phillips.  Tripp also had them but was in the blue room when he attended.  I think it'll be a great year, especially because I'm in the same class as my best buddy in the whole wide world!  MILLER!

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's......????

Just as much as we're sweet, we're big goofballs, too.  Mommy and Lexi Jane were quietly minding their own business when out of no where they were surrounded by not 1 but 3 masked superheros.  Good to know things are safe around the Riley household!

6 weeks

Lexi is already 6 weeks old and growing like a weed!  She smiles sometimes and last night, she slept 7 hours straight for mommy.  Yeah Lexi!  Mommy kept waking up and checking on her but she was perfectly fine.  I think we need to re-enact the evening everything from clothing mommy and Lexi wore to temperature in the house.  Maybe there can be more 7 hour nights in the near future!

Grammy bought us all coordinating outfits when she was here visiting and we finally managed to get a picture of us all together.  Aren't we the cutest things ever!?

Mommy - you need to have more babies because when you do, people bring us dinner and we don't have to go grocery shopping.

Lexi is 1 month old!

WOW!  How did that happy?  Our baby is already 1 month old and it seems like she just joined our family days ago.  She's doing great and getting big.  She's holding her head up by herself already and loves looking around.  And I have to say, the girl loves her food. She's quite the piglet and when she's hungry, she makes it known to all those who will listed.  We're having so much fun with her and love having a new baby sister.  We call her "Levi's baby" and he is so tender with her - for the most part.  He gets a little rough from time to time but I guess she'll need to be tough being the 4th. 

She's even sleeping well and there have been a few nights when she's gone 7 hours straight.  Too bad mommy isn't really sleeping yet but I'm sure she will in 18 years.  Lexi Jane, we love you so much and you make our family complete!

Family Meeting

Daddy is leaving on a work trip for a week and as you can imagine, mommy isn't thrilled with the idea considering she now has 4 children, one of which is 3 weeks old.  Not to mention, he's also leaving and missing her birthday but we won't go into that.  :) 

So, daddy called a meeting and sat each one of us down to 'discuss' the upcoming week and how we were to behave.  Um, yeah,  ok.  We'll see how that works out and if mommy has any hair left when he returns. 

Bathing Adventure

Daddy and I decided to give Lexi a bath this evening.  Personally, I don't think we did all that bad but unfortunately I don't think Lexi agrees. 

The many uses of a pump

Levi likes to get a hold of mommy's pump and run through the house using the shields as mega phones.  It's absolutely hilarious - and a little embarrassing for mom when guests are around.  Any time we pull out the camera or video, he decides to be shy but today we caught him in action.

Biker Baby Boy

Mommy always said she wanted 'bad boys' and I think she got it in Levi. He's a funny little dude and loves to make us laugh.  He's always dancing around or cruising on something with 4 wheels but he's just a ham and always up to something.  Today he decided to use my headband as a biking accessory!

A 'hairy' silly day

Am I sweet?  Yes.  Am I smart? Yes.  Am I dramatic?  Yes.  But most of all, I'm a goof ball!
