Our 5th Birthday Party!

Emmylou and I have birthdays one month apart and decided to have a joint birthday party this year to celebrate. We had our party at the Austin Children's Museum and it was a 'dinosaur-princess' theme. How does one do that? Well, with a little imagination. Our invitations were super cute with a princess riding a dinosaur and of course, we had to have matching shirts made as well.

First T-ball Game

This season is my first year to try t-ball and today was our first game. It was a little rainy but overall, we did great and I had so much fun hitting the ball and running the bases. For the most part, I play 1st base but we all take turns at different positions. Daddy is the assistant coach and he played 1st base when he was younger, too! I'm sure you'll see a lot of t-ball posts in the coming months.

Trippism

Tripp has become obsessed with an info-mercial on the ipad for a firetrucks dvd. He keeps asking us to call the number so we can 'order now' but when he realized we weren't jumping up to make the call, he took matters into his own hands. After a few minutes, he came to me and said, 'Mommy, we need a new phone. We need a phone that has the lines on it'. The 'lines' he were the dashes between the numbers. Ex: 800-555-1212.

The Austin Children's Museum has 1/2 day camps from time to time and mommy thought I'd enjoy the 'science camp'. She was right! It was a 1/2 day filled with activities from kite making to goobly goo making. I didn't want to leave but couldn't wait to get home to show off all that I learned. I hope to go to camp at the museum again this summer.

New Wheels

Check out my new wheels! My bike was ready today and I couldn't wait to try it out. I picked out the 'Rattlesnake' bike with not-so matching Spiderman helmet. I'm super excited about it and if you're ever in the neighborhood, I'm sure you'll see me cruising around.

College Station

After Elmo Live, daddy took us to College Station to see Mama since she's having surgery next week. It was kind of a continuation of my birthday weekend - since mommy baked a cake to send with us for another birthday celebration. We always love going to College Station - and had a great time with Mama, Grandpa Smoky, Mimi B and the COWS!

Tripp's 5th Birthday!

Today is my 5th birthday and mommy, daddy and Tatie have some fun things planned for me throughout the day. After my special birthday breakfast, we went to Toys R Us where I got to pick out my new bike and helmet! I have to wait a few days to get it though, since they have to put it together. After Toys R Us and some lunch, we headed to the baseball field for tball practice and from there, to see "Elmo's Healthy Heros - Live!". It was a great day and I feel so big now that I'm 5!

San Antonio Zoo

Tomorrow is my 5th birthday and since we didn't have school today due to parent teacher conferences, a few friends and I decided to go to the San Antonio zoo. It was perfect weather and we had a fantastic time!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just like Mom!

Daddy was in charge of getting me ready this morning and I decided to help as well. I told him I was 'just like mommy'!

SNOW!

It doesn't happen often here in Austin but this morning we woke up to 21 degrees and SNOW!! We were so excited we ran to wake mommy and daddy and Tatie kept saying 'Santa Claus is coming back!!'. School was cancelled - since Texans definitely can't drive with ice and/or snow - and we enjoyed making snow balls and drinking hot chocolate most of the day.
