3 year check up

I had my 3 year check up today and am growing like a weed. I'm already 30.5 lbs and 38 inches tall! Mommy says I'm a skinny minnie but my doctor says I'm right on track being 75th percentile in height and 50th in weight. My doctor asked me all kinds of questions including what I liked to eat. Basically I told her bread, cheese and yogurt. When she asked if I liked eggs I said 'no way'! Same answer with spinach and other healthy things I should be eating. Knowing mommy, she'll find a tricky way to get me to eat the things I won't willingly eat.

Overall, I was very brave and did everything I was supposed to do while at my visit but that's only because I didn't know there were shots coming at the end. Had I known that to start with, I don't think I would have cooperated as much. But, I did get a token after and mommy and I had a fun picnic and ice cream at the park. That always makes things better!a

First Kindergarten Field Trip

Tripp's kindergarten class had a field trip to the fire station today and mommy went to help. They all walked from the school to station #19 and after watching a fire safety video they had a private tour of the whole place! When it was time to go climb on the fire trucks, unfortunately the firefighters got a call and before you knew it, they were all dressed in their gear and loaded up to go help someone. It was a pretty exciting day!
Off they go!

Tate-ism

Mommy asks me to do a lot of things. Be sweet to Levi, don't fight with Bubba, take my shoes off in the laundry room, etc. Typical things I suppose. Well, at our Sunday school club called Awanas, I'm learning more and more about Jesus and my new phrase for mommy when she asks me to do something is:

Mommy - you're not the boss of me. Jesus is.

The disappearing y y's

When Cinderella left, the y y's disappeared with her. Y y's are my word for pacifier. Cinderella explained that there were a lot of babies that needed y y's and now that I was a big girl, I didn't need them anymore. I agreed and said good bye to Cinderella and my y y's. I'm such a big girl and haven't looked back since!

Tate's Princess Tea Party

What a big day! For my birthday party this year, I wanted a princess party. So mommy planned a princess party for my girlfriends and me - and you'll never guess who came as my special guest! Cinderella herself! Oh my gosh. was i ever excited. Cinderella called me on the phone a couple of days ago to tell me she was coming to visit but I didn't really 'get it' until she showed up at my door. Cinderella was so much fun and taught us all how to curtsy like a princess and how to clap like a princess. She then told us the story of her wicked stepmother and meeting Prince Charming. We played games with her, blew bubbles, watched a magic show and then it was on to our 'tea the princess way' lesson. I had so much fun I didn't want it to end. Thank you, Cinderella, for making my day so special!

Levi's Dedication

This morning we had Levi's dedication at our church. He was so good it and it was such a special time for our family. I was excited that Levi and I both shared our special day. I love you, "Lebi".
