Watch out Beckham!

Easter 2010

I don't know how I missed him BUT the Easter Bunny managed to sneak by me again this year undetected and left lots of goodies for Tatie and me. I told mommy I think he comes down the chimney like Santa. This year, he must have known I've been talking about soccer non stop because I now have my very own soccer ball! He also knew I loved jelly beans and Thomas the train. Smart bunny! My baby got lots of fun 'girlie' things, including a new baby doll, but she was much more interested in the chocolate bunny. Smart girl!
What girl doesn't love chocolate??
Silly bunny with her milk milk and birthday card?
The Riley bunnies love their morning milk milk. Make sure it's warm, please.
You mean you put SNACKS in this? Snacks are my favorite thing in the whole wide world!
After our Easter basket discoveries, we went to church and then to the Gehrings for Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt! A special thank you to the Gehrings for a very special day!
Tate's first real Easter Egg hunt
The (tired) family Easter picture. Mommy and Daddy were out WAY too late last night at Jeff's 40th birthday party. They're not as young as they used to be.
The hunt is on!
It's like being at grandma's house at the Gehrings. We usually get away with murder and this time, Aunt Cindy fed my baby all of the whoppers she wanted.
One of my favorite people - Reid Reid!
Again, think Grandma's house. Do you really think mommy would buy peeps, much less let us eat them? After dinner, we had a little baseball practice
Put me in, coach!
Time for an Easter nap.

Tate is - I can't say it!

Really? 18 months old? Ah yes, it's true.

Dearest Pterodactyl -
Please, please, please stop screaming. I don't know how much more I can take of it and now that you're officially 18 months old, you should really consider stopping. I have so much I can say about you being 18 months but I think Austin artist Joe McDermott sums it up best.

I fall down on my bottom and it doesn't even hurt.
Gonna find a house plant gonna eat some dirt.
Gonna run around all over this house.
Gonna find an old dusty thing and put in in my mouth.

I know everything to do to make Daddy say, "Aah!"
I know 25 words and 24 of them are, "No!"

And who spilled juice on Daddy's new suit?
Well it couldn't be me - I'm so little and……cute

I am baby.
I am trouble.
I can walk.

Challenging? Yes. My precious girl? Absolutely. I didn't think it was possible to love you more but I do and I look forward to all of the days to come.
Love, Mommy

Texas Visitors

Guess who came to town? Eden! To be fair, her parents came too and so did Ken and Melissa. Our good friend, Jeff Fox, is having his 40th birthday party this weekend and everyone came into town to help celebrate. Since the kids aren't allowed at the party tomorrow night, we all met up at Chuy's for a fun dinner. Happy Birthday, Mr. Fox!

Music Class

Tate started her new music class today and daddy and I got to go along. Tate is a wild child in class and runs around doing her own thing, even when all of the other children are sitting nicely in their mommy's laps. But, Miss Vanessa doesn't seem to mind and keeps on singing and strumming her guitar.

Joe McDermott

We've been around Austin for awhile now but for some reason, we've missed out on a local favorite, Joe McDermott - until tonight. We were invited to Summit Elementary to watch Joe perform and Emmylou and Miller came along for the show. Joe performs for children and is very funny and very clever. We had so much fun running around, singing, riding our porcupines and rolling all over the floor in the mud like we were piggies. We now have his new cd and it's a favorite in the car - especially the pet skunk song! Thanks for the invitation, Ms. Teri and thank for a fun evening, Joe!

It's very nice to share
Evidently, my baby doesn't get the 'share' concept
