Home of the Big Peach

After a good night sleep, we were ready to go explore and enjoy Atlanta at Christmas time. First stop? Santa at Lenox Mall! We didn't know Santa would be in Atlanta at the same time we were and I couldn't wait to see him and tell him what I wanted for Christmas. My baby wasn't as excited. Afterwards, we were off to the famous Macy's Pink Pig roller coaster.
Christmas hugs for all while waiting for Santa.
Not a happy Tatie.
It's an Atlanta tradition
My baby LOVED the pink pig
Later in the afternoon, we went to see Kristiina - my old nanny! We love Kristiina so much but she still won't move to Texas to be with us. Maybe one day.......
Mclain's daddy is always so much fun

Atlanta Bound

Daddy went to New Orleans for a boy's trip so we decided to go to Atlanta for a...well, trip. I've been talking about my buddy Mclain for months now and I couldn't wait to go see him! When we got to Mclain's house the first day, all of my buddies were there for a playdate. What a great visit, although it was pretty cold. I told mommy I didn't want to get back on the plane and go home but she told me daddy would miss us if we didn't. She had a point and since I didn't want daddy to be sad, we headed home after a few fun-filled days.

Tate is 14 months

Ahhhhh.....and once I again I find myself writing another monthly update that has snuck up on me way too fast. Bottom line.....you're fun. You're my little weebly wobble who is mastering walking and giggles when you're almost to mommy and daddy and then quickly pivot and turn the other direction. You laugh more than you cry and smile more than you frown. You bounce in your crib until someone gets you in the morning and then you clap after you throw bunny in the bed. Your favorite word is 'da da' and you like to yell through the house hunting for him. It melts daddy's heart, little one. I think you're a daddy's girl and I think your daddy is going to continue to spoil you rotten. I'm in trouble for sure. You blow kisses and give kisses. You love to give hugs - especially to your brother. You lay on the floor each morning and drink your warm milk next to your brother drinking his warm milk. You're adding to your vocabulary and now say mama, dada, uh oh, baby and of course, NO! I love when you put your head on my shoulder - even though it's brief most days. Life is looking up when it comes to you and I enjoy being around you so much more. You've finally graduated to size 3 diapers, although truth be told, you still fit just fine in size 2. Seriously? I think your brother skipped size 2 altogether and was in 3s by month 5. I sure love you. You make me happy and you complete our family. The days are going by so quickly and I'm trying to embrace every moment of it so forgive me if I give you too many hugs and too many kisses. I want to remember and enjoy every thing I can with you since we we were off to a slower start than I had planned.

I love you and happy 14 month birthday!
Love,
Mommy

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Tonight we went into the attic and got all of our Christmas goodies down to start decorating. Daddy and I worked on the outside Christmas lights for awhile and then I came inside to help mommy and my baby with putting the tree together. Yes...you read that right. Mommy is very proud of her snap together, plug it in and voila instant Christmas tree. We had fun singing songs and decorating the tree while my baby had fun taking the ornaments off of the tree. After we were finished, Tatie and I helped (sort of) mommy make hot chocolate and we all sat around the tree admiring our work. I think I'm a little too excited because I had the carrots ready for rudolph and cookies ready for Santa but mommy said I'm a couple weeks too early. I don't know if I can wait until Christmas!
(notice where my baby's hand is?)
We weren't in the mood to take a Christmas pic
...but if you add hot chocolate and warm milk, we may be talked into it.
Now the Christmas tree is complete with it's sword topper! My idea, of course!

He's Baaaaccccckkkk!

Frostin is our 'elf on the shelf' and he's back! He showed up while we were decorating for Christmas and I found him hanging out on the front porch light. Silly Frostin! Frostin watches us each day and flies back to Santa at the North Pole ever night to report on our behavior. Then each morning, we have to find Frostin's new hiding place. We're trying to be on our best behavior because we want Santa to bring us lots of goodies!

Fun Times on the Farm

Going to Mama's is always a treat. My baby and I cruise around the farm on our tractor, chasing (I mean feeding) cows, exploring....you know the drill. There's always fun to be had when Mama is around.
My baby figured out how to drive the tractor!
Hmmm....I wonder what mischief I could get into with this contraption.

Happy Turkey Day!

We spent Thanksgiving afternoon in Tomball with mommy's family and then after lunch, we went to College Station for not only the Gig 'Em Aggies vs t-sips game but also to celebrate Thanksgiving with daddy's family. Seeing family and especially my cousins is always so much fun since my baby and I are the youngest and we get spoiled even more than normal! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too.
In Tomball with some of my cousins Hayden, Mallory and Avery
Another cousin pic - this time with Reese included
It's the Tomball Bunch! (although we're missing a lot of our 'bunch' this year)
My cousin Reese is too cool for words! He's also an amazing gymnast - watch for him in future Olympics (seriously)
