Field Trip

Today Tripp went on a field trip to the Austin Nature Center. He wanted mommy to go and help, so she went along to help Mrs. Olson 'herd cats'. It was a hot day but they got to see a lot of neat animals, reptiles and bugs. They even touched a HUGE centipede. Eeewww! I think when it's my turn to go on this field trip in kindergarten, I'll pass on the bugs.

The Fashion Show

Today, I was a runway model! A seamstress in town made some little girl's clothes from materials handed down from his great grandmother and decided to host a fashion show for charity. It was a mother daughter Easter event and I was one of the models. I had to go try on all of the 'fashions' and practice modeling them for the audience so when the big day came, I was pretty much a pro and pranced around like a little princess. My friend, Zanna, was in the fashion show, too, and it made it even more fun with a friend. I truly felt like a 'fancy girl'.

Bubba helped me get all dolled up this morning. Usually he's more into his legos, transformers and beyblades but today he had fun playing in my girlie girl world. Levi on the other hand, wasn't too sure what to make of it all and just sat back quietly to observe.

Birthday Party Fun

Tripp's friend, Margaret, had a fun birthday party complete with a petting zoo, taco truck, fancy cupcakes and face painting. My favorite way to spend an afternoon!

After dinner, we wandered around Epcot and waited for the fireworks. We ended up staying in 'Agrahbah' for awhile watching a beautiful belly dancer. She was awesome!

The Royal Birthday Feast

To help celebrate Lou's birthday, we ended the evening at the Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot with...you guessed it, more Disney Princesses! I know it was Emmylou's big day, but I definitely felt like a queen myself.
